How do I install my eMedia software on a Vista™ computer?

To install your eMedia software on a computer running Microsoft Vista™ you will need to:

  1. Make sure you have downloaded and installed the latest compatibility patches and service packs from Microsoft.
  2. Download and install the latest version of QuickTime™ from the Apple website.
  3. Put the eMedia software CD in the CD-ROM drive, and it will automatically run the set-up file. (In case it doesn’t, just browse to the CD-ROM and double-click on setup.exe). Be sure to install eMedia software in the directory recommended by the installer.
  4. After you finish the installation, go to the Start menu and find the name of the application.
If you can’t find it right away, look in the All Programs submenu.

(eMedia My Piano is shown here)
  5. Right-click on the name of the application to open a submenu. Select Properties.

  6. Select the Compatibility tab in the Properties dialog box.

  7. Check for “Run this program in compatibility mode for”, and select Windows XP Service Pack 2 from the drop-down list.
  8. Finally, click Apply and then OK to close the Properties window.
