Technical Questions

Windows® Vista Error on launch:
“Director Player has stopped working” or “Macromedia Projector has stopped working”
  1. Download this file and save it to your desktop.
  2. Double-click on the .exe file to install an update.
  3. Turn on your MIDI keyboard (if you have one), then launch your software.

If you continue to experience problems with Vista, please make sure that your system is up to date. Download the latest updates for your operating system at update.microsoft.com. Get the latest version of QuickTime at www.apple.com/quicktime/download.

I’m using multiple monitors, and video doesn’t work. I get a black screen that disappears quickly.

Before playing a video, make sure the eMedia software is located on your primary monitor. If your computer stretches a single desktop across multiple monitors, our software may not display properly.
